History

There are many events that add to the allure of Hawaii, and it huge increase in tourism. The rich history of the islands, countless movies and TV series, tropical weather, beaches, mountains, vegetation, snorkeling, WWII, and the security of the United States has attracted people to Hawaii from all over the world. In 2017, Hawaii hosted a record 9.4 million visitors to the islands, and the number continues to grow.

The history of Hawaii is as vibrant as its landscape and people. Initial contact by Captain James Cook, the export of sandalwood, explosion of sugar, the overthrow of the Hawaiian kingdom, the need for labor, and the attack on Pearl Harbor/WWII has shaped where we live today. Today we are able to explore these portals into the past throughout Oahu on our tours.

Visit the Bishop museum and Iolani Palace, the only Royal Palace in the United States. Take a trip to the North Shore from January to March and see some of the most spectacular waves in the world. Our tours are one-of-a-kind.
