My husband and I were expecting the usual tourist attraction tour of Ohau but what we experienced was an immersion in indigenous Pacific islander’s culture. It was enchanting and beautiful. We had visited the popular tourist attractions on previous visits to Oahu and asked for something a little different. Our guide, Kiliona, took us to sacred sites and explained many of the legends behind why each site was picked by the Hawaiian people and the events that took place at each site (royal births, sacrifices before battle, etc.) This tour was the highlight of our trip and we would recommend it without hesitation!

I went with the National World War II Museum to Hawaii for the 74th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Keawe Adventures and the WWII Museum operated seamlessly to provide an unforgettable experience of the island and the attack. Keawe treated this group of about 30 with incredible hospitality and personalized service. Makani runs a top-notch company staffed with very knowledgeable guides. There’s is simply no other place to turn for your Hawaiian military history, scenery, or outdoor activities. Also, Kiliona provided us with a rich, deep history of the native Hawaiian culture and customs. Because of this company I feel I have gotten a taste of Oahu that most will never get otherwise.

Just returned from trip with my Mother, Sisters, Sister-in-Law and niece. Makani, Kiliona, Julianna and Jesse made our trip so special. Needed special attention as my mother was in wheel chair. They showed such care and made her trip something she will remember for the rest of her life, but they also gave the rest of us a trip we also will remember for a lifetime. This company has such wonderful people working for them. Very knowledgeable about the areas they show you Look forward to my next trip.
