Surfing

Overview

When people think about Hawaii, they usually picture Hula dancers, Luaus, and ...SURFING!

Here at Keawe Adventures, we approach surfing somewhat differently than most companies. We work with you at your surfing pace. If you are a beginner, we'll give you the basics. If you are experienced, we'll push you further and share some secret spots...

For example, we took Jillian to the NorthShore at a spot called Lani's. The waves were 2-3 feet (Hawaiian Scale) and perfect. We paddled out and lined her up with the biggest waves she has ever surfed. At first she was naturally a little hesitant, but as soon as she paddled into her first wave, her worries disappeared. She caught the wave about 100 yards and paddled back out with a smile bigger than the moon. Jillian must have caught over 30 waves by the end of the day. We coached her on every one: where to paddle, how to turn the board faster, and how to judge the waves. She did great!!! After paddling, we strolled through Haleiwa town and visited one of the local surf stores, where she was able to stock up on surf gear.
